Visit to Andrea and Fritz

A few weeks ago, I was on the road again. Together with my favorite photographer Angelika and my Fibershed DACH intern Marcia, I visited a farm in Lucerne. Fritz and Andrea's organic farm is home to around 40 cows and cattle, 20 sheep, chickens and a few cats.

The farm is part of the Ueli Hof producer association, an organic butcher's shop in central Switzerland that focuses on animal welfare and responsible business practices. In inspiring and moving conversations with Andrea, we talked about life as a farmer's wife, the constant dependence on the weather and climate and the challenges this brings. We also talked about biodiversity and how many people often have no awareness of how complex and important our ecosystems are.

After such excursions, I always return home with a full heart. And I'm really looking forward to receiving Angelika's pictures.
